Academic General Call for Applications – Department of Physics Engineering

The Department of Physics Engineering at Istanbul Technical University welcomes academic applications at the Assistant Professor level in Experimental or Theoretical Physics, aimed at complementing and/or expanding the department’s current research activities.
Applications will be evaluated within the scope of the department’s research and educational missions. Candidates with a strong research profile and a solid publication record will be given particular consideration. Postdoctoral research experience is required.
While applications are accepted across all research areas, priority will be given to candidates working in the following fields, in line with the department’s strategic plan:
- Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics
- Observational Cosmology
- Mathematical Physics / High Energy Physics
- Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics
- Quantum Optics and Quantum Information Technologies
- Biophysics
- Renewable Energy
The department invites applications from qualified candidates who can contribute to its research and teaching missions, develop competitive and forward-looking research programs, and teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
