National Informatics Convention hosts expert speakers and provides meeting opportunities for 2500 people including managers in the private and public sectors, entrepreneurs and business magnates, academicians, and students. The theme of this years convention was “Second Century: Humankind, Technology and Beyond the Universe” with subtopics ranging from smart technologies and applications to role of women and non-governmental organizations in technology. Prof. Dr. Altan Çakır was a panelist for the subtopic open source software ecosystem.
